Context of the Role

The Senior Finance Analyst – Europe will support the Finance Reporting & Compliance Lead in the financial management, reporting, financial control, statutory compliance and regulatory reporting activities for Thunes' European entities, including TPAS and Limonetik.

The role will work closely with the Accounting Operations team in Manila to ensure the accuracy, completeness and timeliness of financial information while supporting the continued growth of Thunes' European operations.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Reporting and Compliance

Support the monthly, quarterly and annual financial close process

Review accounting outputs from Accounting Operations

Prepare month-end journals where required

Prepare financial schedules and management reports

Perform flux analysis and investigate unusual movements

Support preparation of Group reporting packages

Financial Controls

Complete balance sheet reconciliations

Review aging reports and outstanding reconciling items

Monitor intercompany balances

Ensure compliance with Group accounting policies.

Support internal control improvements

Regulatory & Statutory Reporting

Support preparation of regulatory reporting submissions.

Assist with statutory financial statements

Coordinate supporting information for regulatory reporting

Maintain reporting documentation and audit evidence

Support internal and external audits (including statutory and regulatory audits)

Prepare audit schedules

Coordinate information requests

Work with external advisors where required

Accounting Operations oversight

Working closely with the Accounting Operations:

Review AP and AR outputs

Monitor month-end deliverables

Resolve operational queries

Track outstanding finance operations issues

Drive service improvements

Process Improvement

Identify automation opportunities

Improve finance processes

Document SOPs

Support finance transformation initiatives

Standardise accounting processes across Europe

Business partnering

Accounting Operations

Skills & Experience

Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or equivalent

At least 5 years' experience in finance, accounting or audit

Experience within fintech, payments, banking or financial services preferred

Working knowledge of IFRS

Experience supporting month-end close

Strong analytical skills

Advanced Excel

Experience working with shared service centre is desirable

English required; French is an advantage.
