SEN TEACHER – KEY STAGE 3

Forest of Dean KS3 SEN Setting Starting October – Maternity Leave

Are you a teacher who loves teaching but wants to work somewhere you can genuinely make a difference?

I’m currently working with a fantastic SEN setting in the Forest of Dean who are looking for a Key Stage 3 Teacher to join their team.

This isn’t about standing in front of 30 children and racing through a scheme of work.

It’s about small groups, building relationships, adapting your teaching and celebrating the wins that might seem small to everyone else – but are absolutely massive to the young person involved.

We’re looking for someone who:

• Has QTS or relevant teaching experience
• Is confident working with KS3 pupils
• Has experience with SEN – or genuinely wants to move into SEN
• Can be patient, adaptable and resilient
• Understands that sometimes the relationship comes before the lesson plan!

Previous SEN experience would obviously be brilliant, but the right personality and approach are just as important.

Albeit a KS3 need, this is suitable for Primary teachers also and the school has a proven track record of converting Primary teachers.
