Senior AI & Software Engineer
About the Role We are looking for an Senior AI & Software Engineer to join the development of a sophisticated AI-native software platform. This is a highly hands-on technical role for an experienced engineer who can contribute across AI architecture, backend engineering, system design, performance, reliability, and production delivery. The successful candidate will work closely with senior leadership and the engineering team, taking ownership of complex technical challenges and contributing to architectural and technology decisions. We are looking for someone capable of independently assessing existing approaches, identifying opportunities for improvement, and designing and implementing robust, scalable solutions. Key Responsibilities
- Design and develop production-grade LLM and AI-powered systems
- Build and optimize RAG and advanced retrieval architectures
- Work with embeddings, reranking, vector search, knowledge graphs, and GraphRAG
- Design agentic and multi-step AI workflows
- Develop AI evaluation, benchmarking, and quality-measurement frameworks
- Design scalable backend services and APIs
- Optimize PostgreSQL and data-intensive applications
- Build asynchronous and event-driven systems
- Improve system performance, reliability, observability, and scalability
- Establish strong automated testing and end-to-end validation practices
- Review existing architecture and recommend technical improvements
- Maintain high standards for code quality, architecture, documentation, and engineering practices
- Work effectively with modern AI-assisted development tools
Required Experience
- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, or equivalent demonstrated expertise
- Strong hands-on experience building production AI/LLM applications
- Strong understanding of RAG, embeddings, retrieval, reranking, and AI evaluation
- Excellent Python and/or TypeScript/Node.js development skills
- Strong backend architecture and API design experience
- Strong PostgreSQL and data-modeling knowledge
- Experience designing scalable and maintainable production systems
- Experience with Docker, Git/GitHub, CI/CD, and cloud environments
- Strong understanding of automated testing, observability, debugging, and performance optimization
- Experience working with modern AI coding tools and development agents

Communication Excellent spoken and written English is essential for this position. The successful candidate must be comfortable communicating complex technical concepts clearly in English, participating in technical discussions and architecture reviews, documenting technical decisions, and collaborating directly with international team members and stakeholders.
