HW & Embedded Manager
Telefire develops advanced fire detection and smoke management products for commercial, industrial and public buildings. We are looking for HW & Embedded Manager who combines technical depth, hands-on approach, strong execution skills and ability to build the next generation of Telefire's HW & Embedded organization. This is a key leadership role with end-to-end ownership of HW and Embedded development across multiple products, from architecture and planning through implementation, validation, manufacturing and product lifecycle support.
Responsibilities
- Lead the HW & Embedded domain and shape its future growth.
- Own technical architecture and key design decisions.
- Build and develop highly effective engineering team of 3-5 people.
- Create and manage development plans, milestones and priorities across multiple projects.
- Drive execution, risk management and predictable delivery.
- Work closely with Product, NPI, Manufacturing, QA and Operations teams.
- Manage technical activities with subcontractors, suppliers and external partners.
- Support product transition from development to manufacturing.
- Improve engineering processes and development methodologies.
- Lead regulatory, certification, and compliance activities for fire detection and smoke management products.
Requirements
- B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering or related field.
- 10+ years of experience in HW and/or Embedded development.
- Experience leading engineering teams and multidisciplinary projects.
- Strong system-level and architecture thinking.
- Hands-on experience in product development from concept to production.
- Experience working with subcontractors, suppliers and manufacturing.
- Experience with manufacturing transfer and NPI processes.
- Strong leadership, communication, planning and execution skills.
- Experience in embedded software development – significant advantage
B.Sc. in Electrical Engineering 5+ years of hands-on hardware board design Proven experience with multi-layer PCB design Strong experience with embedded systems hardware (MCUs, peripherals, memory interfaces) Experience in mixed-signal design Solid understanding of power design (battery systems, protection circuits, etc) Strong hands-on debugging and bring-up skills using lab equipment Experience with industrial communication interfaces (UART, SPI, I2C, RS-485 etc.) Experience with Altium Designer – advantage
