We are seeking a hands-on Production Section Head to supervise daily manufacturing operations, lead shift teams, and drive continuous improvement across our production lines. The ideal candidate combines strong mechanical or industrial engineering knowledge with practical experience in continuous manufacturing, workforce development, and operational excellence.
⚙️ Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily production operations and ensure production targets, quality standards, and delivery schedules are achieved.
- Lead shift supervisors, production engineers, and operators while maintaining discipline, accountability, and a strong safety culture.
- Apply Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Six Sigma principles to improve productivity, reduce waste, minimize downtime, and optimize OEE.
- Monitor daily production output, raw material consumption, scrap rates, and other operational KPIs.
- Maintain accurate production shift reports and update production records through the company's ERP system.
- Conduct root-cause analysis and implement corrective and preventive actions for recurring production issues.
- Coach and develop shop-floor employees through on-the-job training and continuous performance feedback.
- Use AI tools and digital solutions where applicable to support data analysis, KPI reporting, SOP development, and troubleshooting.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering. Chemical Engineering backgrounds are not suitable for this role.
- Minimum 5 years of manufacturing experience, including at least 1 year in a production leadership or supervisory position.
- Hands-on experience with continuous manufacturing lines, preferably in building materials, sheets, polymers/plastics, or similar industrial environments.
- Practical knowledge of Lean Manufacturing, TPM, 5S, and Six Sigma improvement techniques.
- Proven ability to supervise shift teams, coach operators, and maintain production discipline.
- Experience with daily production reporting, ERP systems, and production performance KPIs.
- Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Familiarity with AI tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or Copilot is an advantage.
