Health & Safety Specialist

Key Responsibilities

Manage daily occupational health and safety activities across the factory and ensure compliance with company policies and applicable regulations. Conduct regular workplace inspections, risk assessments, and hazard identification , and follow up on corrective actions. Conduct Toolbox Talks, safety training, and HSE induction training for new employees. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near misses , identify root causes, and implement preventive measures. Monitor the proper use of PPE and inspect machinery, equipment, tools, and work areas for safety compliance. Develop and maintain HSE procedures, SOPs, emergency plans, and safe work practices . Organize fire drills, emergency response exercises, and evacuation drills . Support internal HSE audits and maintain relevant safety records and documentation. Monitor safety performance and prepare regular HSE reports for management. Work closely with Production, Engineering, Warehouse, and HR teams to continuously improve the factory’s safety culture.

Qualifications & Requirements

Bachelor’s degree or above in Occupational Health & Safety, Safety Engineering, Environmental Science, or a related field. 3+ years of experience in Health & Safety/HSE, preferably in a manufacturing or factory environment. Good knowledge of risk assessment, accident investigation, workplace inspections, safety training, and emergency response . Familiarity with PPE, Permit to Work, LOTO, Fire Safety, and safe work procedures . Strong communication, problem-solving, and incident investigation skills. Ability to independently conduct safety inspections, training, and HSE reporting. NEBOSH, IOSH, OSHA, or other relevant HSE certifications will be an advantage. Strong sense of responsibility and ability to work effectively in a production environment.
