About the role   Splend is considering new talent as we scale and expand our servicing operations. As a Workshop Foreman, you’ll play a critical role in ensuring our fleet maintenance operations run safely, efficiently, and at the highest quality standard. Reporting to the Head of Maintenance, you’ll coordinate workshop activities, manage throughput, and ensure resources are allocated effectively to maximise vehicle uptime and customer satisfaction.  This role is ideal for someone with a strong technical background who thrives on organisation, accountability, and continuous improvement.

What you'll be doing Managing workshop organisation, bay allocation, shift planning, and work scheduling

Enforcing standard operating procedures and safety compliance

Monitoring KPIs including turnaround times, quality outcomes, and maintenance efficiency

Managing maintenance costs through planned maintenance, standard job plans, and OEM/warranty support

Owning supplier interactions, including parts ordering, lead ‑ time coordination, and performance monitoring

Driving continuous improvement through process mapping, root cause analysis, and SOP development

What you’ll bring 2+ years in workshop or service operations, with at least 2 years in a management role

Hands ‑ on technical experience in mechanical, electrical, automotive, or equipment maintenance

Proven ability to manage workshop scheduling, resource allocation, and job throughput

Experience with cost control, KPI ‑ driven performance management, and budgeting

Exposure to parts/inventory control, suppliers, and external vendor management

Strong understanding of safety systems, compliance, and incident investigation

Demonstrated experience implementing process improvements (Lean, TPM, or similar frameworks)
