Location : Oslo (NO) Language : Norwegian and English Workload : Full-time Assignment Description Are you an experienced Embedded C++ Developer looking for an opportunity to work on technically challenging products where software interacts closely with hardware? In this role, you will contribute to the development, testing, debugging, and optimization of embedded software and firmware using C/C++ . You will work close to the hardware and collaborate with software, electronics, and multidisciplinary engineering teams to develop reliable and high-performance solutions. The position is based in Oslo and offers the opportunity to work with experienced engineers on technically complex products and projects. Job Responsibilities Design, develop, and maintain embedded software using C/C++

Develop firmware for microcontrollers (MCUs) and/or SoCs

Work with RTOS, bare-metal and/or Embedded Linux environments

Develop software that interacts directly with hardware and electronic components

Work with hardware interfaces and communication protocols such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet , or similar

Perform hardware-near debugging, troubleshooting, and testing

Analyse and resolve complex software and embedded-system issues

Work with resource-constrained systems and consider memory usage, performance, reliability, and timing

Develop and maintain low-level software, including drivers, BSP/HAL , where relevant

Work with multithreading, concurrency and real-time requirements

Participate in integration, verification, and validation of embedded products

Collaborate closely with hardware engineers and other multidisciplinary engineering teams

Participate in code reviews and technical discussions

Contribute to improving software architecture, development processes, and engineering practices

Requirements Professional experience with C/C++ development

Practical experience with embedded systems, firmware, or hardware-near software development

Experience with microcontrollers (MCU) and/or SoC

Experience with one or more of RTOS, bare-metal development, or Embedded Linux

Experience developing software that interacts directly with hardware

Experience with hardware interfaces such as SPI, I2C, UART, CAN, Ethernet , or similar

Experience with embedded debugging and troubleshooting

Understanding of memory management, resource constraints, and software performance

Experience with multithreading, concurrency and/or real-time systems

Experience with Git and preferably Linux-based development environments

Experience with device drivers, BSP/HAL, JTAG/SWD , or similar low-level technologies is an advantage

Experience with debugging/lab tools such as oscilloscopes, logic analysers, or other hardware debugging equipment is an advantage

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary engineering team

Proactive and solution-oriented mindset

Good communication skills in Norwegian and English
