Chest Medicine Associates  New Patient Referral Coordinator  South Portland, Maine  

Chest Medicine Associates is seeking a New Patient Referral Coordinator, to be based in the South Portland office.

Requirements of the New Patient Referral Coordinator: High school education or G.E.D. equivalent.

Maintain strict confidentiality.

Possess strong organizational skills.

Experience with referrals preferred.

Prior experience in a medical office environment and familiarity with electronic medical records are preferred.

Ability to work on site Monday-Friday during regular office hours.

Responsibilities of the New Patient Referral Coordinator: Sort, prioritize, and organize new, incoming requests for consultations.

Create charts in electronic medical record (EMR)

Enter demographic and insurance information into electronic charts.

Scan documents into chart.

Ensure the accuracy of patient registration and data entry.

Schedule new patient appointments accurately with appropriate phone etiquette.

Enroll patients in portal.

Support other departments as needed.
