Introductie

As an Engineer Special Exterior at Royal Van Lent, you engineer the visible exterior elements of a superyacht - the parts that define how a yacht looks and feels. A role for the detail-driven engineer who wants to see their own work on the finished product.

Functie

You own a specific exterior scope and take it from design intent to a fully documented, buildable solution. Your work sits where engineering, design, and finish come together, which means precision matters in everything you deliver. You:

• work out detailed engineering designs, 3D models, and technical drawings for your scope;
• make sure your design is feasible and can actually be manufactured and assembled on board;
• keep your work within Class and Flag regulations and the project's own specifications;
• spot technical bottlenecks early and come up with workable solutions;
• align with senior engineers, production, and project leads so the work lands on time and at the right quality.

Organisatie

Royal Van Lent, part of Feadship, builds one-off superyachts at the highest level. In 2019 the yard opened its ultramodern dock hall in the western harbour area of Amsterdam, with room for yachts up to 160 metres. Besides newbuild, the yard also handles refits. Every yacht is a single, custom project built over an average of four years - a place where engineering and craftsmanship come together under uncompromising quality standards.
