Forklift Operative

Forklift Operator Right Now Group are recruiting for a large cargo ground handler at Heathrow , who are looking for an experienced Forklift Operator with previous Counterbalance Forklift experience .

You will be joining a prestigious Ground Handler within a dynamic and busy warehouse environment, working alongside airline partners to ensure cargo is handled safely and securely around the world.

Key Responsibilities of a Forklift Operator

• Load and unload vehicles carrying a variety of cargo using Counterbalance Forklift trucks and other mechanical equipment.
• Carry out manual handling duties safely and efficiently.
• Use hand-held devices to locate and identify cargo.
• Process cargo paperwork in accordance with client requirements.
• Assist with the breaking and building of ULDs , including PAGs, PMCs and AKEs .
• Check incoming cargo for discrepancies, damage or any areas of concern during unloading.
• Maintain high standards of health and safety throughout the warehouse environment.

Skills & Experience Required for a Forklift Operator

• Previous Counterbalance Forklift experience is essential .
• Previous warehouse or cargo handling experience is desirable.
• Good understanding of warehouse health and safety procedures.
• Ability to carry out manual handling duties within a busy warehouse environment.
• Ability to work a rotating day and night shift pattern .
• Ability to successfully complete a 5-year checkable employment/education history .
• Ability to successfully complete a DBS check .

Salary & Benefits for a Forklift Operator

• Salary: £32,000 - £33,000.
• Location: Heathrow.
• Shift Pattern: 4 On / 4 Off.
• 2 Days: 06:30 - 18:30 2 Nights: 18:30 - 06:30.
