R&D Engineer

Our client is a well-established MNC specialising in advanced coating and surface engineering solutions for semiconductor, precision engineering and industrial applications. Working Days: Monday – Friday, 5 days per week Working Hours: 7:45am – 4:45pm Location: Tuas (Transport Provided) Job Responsibilities Support research and development activities for advanced coating and surface engineering products. Assist in process development, new product development (NPD) and product improvement initiatives. Conduct testing, evaluation and analysis of materials and coating processes to support R&D projects. Work with materials such as metals, alloys and ceramics to develop and optimise products and processes. Support cost calculation and cost-down initiatives to improve product competitiveness. Prepare and maintain BOM, part numbers and process flow documentation using relevant systems. Work closely with production, engineering and other teams to support product and process implementation. Ensure R&D activities and processes comply with relevant quality standards and company requirements. Perform other R&D and engineering duties as assigned.

Requirements Diploma or Degree in Materials Science, Engineering or a related discipline. 1–2 years of R&D engineering experience, preferably involving metals, alloys or ceramics, will be an advantage. Experience in process development, NPD, cost calculation and cost-down activities is preferred. Familiarity with SAP and NCC systems, including BOM, part numbers and process flow, will be an advantage. Knowledge of quality management standards such as ISO 9001, IATF 16949 or ISO 13485 is preferred. Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills. Entry-level with relevant academic qualifications and a strong interest in R&D engineering are welcome to apply.
