BUILDING MAINTENANCE ASSISTANT

Working Venue: Bendemeer Basic salary: $2500-$3000 Working hours: 9am to 6pm (5 1/2 days)

Key responsibilities

• Perform routine building maintenance , including cleaning, general carpentry, painting, minor repairs, and general upkeep of building interior and exterior areas
• Conduct regular inspections to identify maintenance issues, safety hazards, and repair requirements
• Respond promptly to maintenance requests and complete work orders efficiently
• Assist with preventative maintenance programmes to ensure facilities and equipment remain in good working condition
• Carry out basic installation and repair of fixtures, fittings, carpentry, painting, plumbing, and electrical works under supervision
• support the maintenance of building mechanical, electrical, and plumbing (MEP) system as required
• maintain and organise maintenance tools, equipment, and spare parts inventory
• Record maintenance activities and report issues requiring follow-up
• Comply with workplace safety regulations and collaborate with team members and contractors to complete maintenance works effectively
• sues encountered to senior maintenance staff
• Collaborate with other team members to complete maintenance projects efficiently and on schedule
• Supporting the maintenance of mechanical, electrical and plumbing systems under supervision
• Perform general carpentry and painting works as required

Required Skills

• General carpentry, painting, plumbing, and basic electrical work
• interpreting technical manuals. blueprints, and schematic drawings
• maintaining accurate logs and records of maintenance and repair work
• good communication skills and ability to work effectively as part of a team or independently.
• Physical fitness and ability to perform tasks that may require lifting, climbing or working at heights

Qualifications

• 3 years of experience in maintenance, construction. or a related field
• core trade certificate or equivalent qualification
