This position is located in the Department of Health and Human Services, Program Support Center, headquartered in Rockville, Maryland.

Major duties

WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING DAY TO DAY As a Mail Supervisory, you will use your knowledge of and experience with Program Support Center to optimize business results and customer experience by: Serving as onsite supervisor responsible for day-to-day mail operations and participating in planning and directing centralized mail services. Coordinating and scheduling work to ensure timely receipt and dispatch of official mail while ensuring compliance with postal regulations. Providing day-to-day supervision and guidance to mail operations employees, monitoring work assignments, and providing on-the-job instruction Providing expert advice, assistance, and guidance to serviced programs regarding specialized mail issues and investigated reports of misrouted, mishandled, or lost mail.

WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR Minimum Qualifications: You must have one year specialized experience to perform successfully the duties of the position. To be creditable, specialized experience must have been equivalent to at least the GS-07 grade level in the Federal service performing ALL of the following:

  • Planning, directing, and coordinating daily operations of the mailroom and/or reproduction center.
  • Providing direct supervision, review work assignments, and making staffing recommendations to ensure efficient operations.
  • Coordinating with internal and external customers and vendors, providing guidance and resolving mail and reproduction operational issues
