ENGINEERING WORKSHOP SUPERVISOR (Mai Mahiu.)

Key Responsibilities

Supervise and coordinate daily engineering workshop operations to ensure efficient workflow. Lead and mentor workshop technicians, fabricators, and mechanical personnel to achieve productivity and quality targets. Plan, assign, and monitor fabrication, machining, maintenance, and repair activities. Operate and oversee the safe use of workshop machinery, including lathe machines and other engineering equipment. Ensure all fabrication and mechanical repair works meet quality and engineering standards. Monitor equipment performance and coordinate preventive maintenance to minimize downtime. Enforce workplace health and safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment. Manage workshop resources, tools, materials, and equipment efficiently. Inspect completed work to ensure compliance with specifications and customer requirements. Prepare workshop reports and recommend process improvements to enhance productivity.

Qualifications & Experience

Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or an equivalent qualification. Minimum of 10 years' hands-on experience in a busy engineering or mechanical workshop. Demonstrated expertise in fabrication, machining, and mechanical repairs. Proven experience operating workshop machinery, including lathe machines and other engineering equipment. Strong leadership, supervisory, and team management skills. Excellent problem-solving, planning, and organizational abilities. Self-driven, flexible, and capable of working with minimal supervision. Willingness to be based in Mai Mahiu .
