NDT Level 2 or 3

NDT LEVEL 2 or 3 Freelance LNG Project – Hamburg, Germany – 2 Years

PCT Engineering Resources GmbH is looking for an experienced NDT Level 3 specialist for a major LNG construction project in the Hamburg area, Germany.

The preferred contractual arrangement is freelance, with an expected project duration of approximately two years.

Main responsibilities:

• Act as the project NDT Level 3 technical authority.
• Review, prepare and approve NDT procedures and written practices.
• Provide technical supervision of radiographic testing activities.
• Review and interpret radiographic films and digital radiography results.
• Verify the qualifications and certification of NDT personnel.
• Ensure compliance with project specifications, applicable codes and standards.
• Review NDT reports, inspection records, NCRs and technical deviations.
• Support welding, piping and QA/QC teams.
• Coordinate with contractors, inspection companies, client representatives and third-party inspectors.
• Participate in technical meetings, audits and investigation of welding defects.

Mandatory requirements:

• Valid NDT Level 3 certification in Radiographic Testing – RT.
• Certification according to ISO 9712, PCN or ASNT Level III.
• Extensive experience in radiographic examination and interpretation of welds.
• Experience in piping, pressure equipment or industrial construction.
• Good knowledge of applicable EN, ISO and ASME standards.
• Ability to review and approve NDT procedures and technical reports.
• Professional working English.
• Availability to work primarily on site in the Hamburg area.

Preferred qualifications:

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering.
• International Welding Engineer – IWE – or equivalent welding engineering qualification.
• Additional NDT Level 3 certifications in UT, MT, PT, VT, PAUT or TOFD.
• Experience in LNG, oil and gas, petrochemical or energy projects.
• Experience with EN ISO 17636, EN ISO 5817, ASME Section V and pressure equipment requirements.
• Experience with digital or computed radiography.
• Previous experience working on European construction projects.
• German language skills.
• EU work authorisation.

• Location: Hamburg area, Germany.

• Duration: approximately two years.
• Contract type: freelance preferred; other arrangements may be considered.
• Work arrangement: predominantly site-based.
• Starting date: to be agreed.
