Job Summary

• Seeking an experienced Network Infrastructure professional to support switch migration, configuration, security hardening, validation, monitoring, documentation, and post-migration support.

Key Responsibilities

• Review network architecture, design documents, migration requirements, hardware, software versions, licensing, compatibility, risks, dependencies, outage needs, and implementation scope.
• Develop and maintain implementation, migration, rollback, and testing plans in coordination with security, server, application, infrastructure, and operations teams.
• Build and configure network switches, including approved firmware or OS upgrades, initial configuration review, and readiness validation.
• Apply network security hardening standards by disabling unused ports and services and ensuring compliance with internal security and audit requirements.
• Integrate switches with enterprise monitoring platforms, including SNMP, Syslog forwarding, NetFlow or sFlow where applicable, interface utilization, performance, capacity, and environmental monitoring.
• Configure and validate operational alerts to ensure monitoring data is received and actionable by the relevant support teams.
• Perform pre-migration health checks, back up existing configurations, execute the approved migration plan, and minimize business downtime.
• Conduct connectivity testing, troubleshoot issues, review logs and alerts, optimize configurations where required, and provide post-migration support.
• Prepare and update network diagrams, switch configuration records, port mappings, IP addressing details, security configuration documents, monitoring records, release readiness documents, and migration reports.
• Provide knowledge transfer to operations teams and secure stakeholder sign-off after successful completion.
