Engineering Manager

• Plan, manage, supervise, and develop the engineering team covering Product Design & Development, New Model, and Process Engineering.
• Lead new product development projects from customer requirement review, feasibility study, design, prototype development, trial production, through to mass production.
• Plan and monitor New Model projects to achieve targets for quality, cost, timing, and customer requirements.
• Develop, improve, and control manufacturing processes to increase productivity, reduce cost, minimize waste, and improve product quality.
• Analyze and solve product, process, and quality-related issues systematically, including implementation of corrective and preventive actions.
• Prepare manufacturing cost analysis and quotations for new customers and new product projects.
• Analyze costs for raw materials, labor, machinery, molds, tooling, fixtures, packaging, and other related expenses to prepare competitive and profitable quotations.
• Conduct project feasibility studies covering technical requirements, manufacturing processes, production capacity, investment, delivery lead time, and project profitability.
• Coordinate with Sales, Purchasing, Production, Quality, Maintenance, Finance, customers, and external suppliers to support technical information and quotation preparation.
• Prepare, review, and control engineering documents, including drawings, BOM, Process Flow Charts, layouts, Work Instructions, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
• Ensure departmental operations comply with management system requirements, including ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001.
• Lead and apply Automotive Core Tools, including APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA, as well as Customer Specific Requirements (CSR).
• Support preparation for internal audits, customer audits, and external certification audits.
• Promote continuous improvement activities such as Kaizen, Lean Manufacturing, 5S, waste reduction, cost reduction, energy saving, and environmental impact reduction.
• Ensure compliance with occupational health, safety, and environmental requirements.
• Coach, train, evaluate, and develop team members to continuously improve their skills and performance.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Materials Engineering, or related fields. At least 5 years of experience in Product Design & Development, New Model, Process Engineering, or manufacturing industry. Experience in engineering team management, project management, or new product development projects is highly preferred. Strong knowledge and practical experience in ISO 9001, IATF 16949, ISO 14001, and ISO 45001 management systems. Good knowledge of IATF Core Tools: APQP, PPAP, FMEA, SPC, and MSA. Ability to prepare manufacturing cost analysis, cost breakdown, and quotations for new customers. Understanding of project feasibility studies, capacity planning, and investment planning for machinery, molds, and tooling. Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, quality control, problem-solving, and productivity improvement. Proficiency in engineering design software such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, CATIA, or related software. Strong planning, project management, data analysis, communication, coordination, and leadership skills.
