AME (aircraft maintenance engineer) - avionics
Education:
College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years.
Work setting:
Urban area. Installation.
Tasks:
- Inspect electrical and avionics systems.
- Install aircraft instruments.
- Ensure that the installation, maintenance, repair and overhaul of systems meet Transport Canada and company standards of performance and safety.
- Repair and overhaul, modify, install and test aircraft electrical systems and equipment.
- Test electrical, electronic and instrument components.
- Troubleshoot communications, navigation, and autoflight equipment.
- Troubleshoot, repair, install and inspect aircraft systems and components.
- Troubleshoot problems related to equipment.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings, blueprints, charts and tables.

Aircraft Maintenance Engineer's Licence (AME) - E.
Aircraft experience:
