Your tasks

• Coordinating the development, implementation and review of the University’s ICT Policies,strategies, regulations, standards and procedures;
• Advising management on institutionalization of effective ICT governance structures;
• Facilitating the development of framework to standardize digitation of University’s recordsand procedures;
• Overseeing service providers in the development and implementation of the appropriate ICTinfrastructure;
• Promoting the digital infrastructure of the University in the provision of its services;
• Streamlining operational processes in the University through the implementation of digitalsolutions;
• Overseeing the designing and measures and strategies to safeguard and protect theUniversity’s data, information and systems;

• Facilitating capacity building of the staff of the University in ICT matters;
• Consolidating the University’s operating systems through adoption of cost effective technologysolutions;
• Overseeing the development and maintenance of effective communication systems in theUniversity;
• Facilitating development and maintenance of the University’s website and other customersfacing systems;
• Overseeing the development, implementation and review of ICT business disaster recoverystrategy;
• Spearheading the design and implementation of security systems, to secure the University’sICT assets and systems;
• Overseeing the preparation of ICT status reports;
• Spearheading development and implementation of the Directorate strategic plans, budgets andperformance contract;
• Ensuring compliance with good governance; and
• Mentoring and coaching ICT staff.
