Liquid Personnel are proud to be working with Richmond and Wandsworth Councils to recruit a skilled and committed AMHP Team Manager to lead their daytime Approved Mental Health Professional (AMHP) Service.

As the AMHP Team Manager, you will:

Lead and manage the daytime AMHP Service

Provide professional leadership, supervision, and support to AMHPs

Ensure compliance with statutory responsibilities under the Mental Health Act

Oversee social supervision for conditionally discharged patients under Section 42

Carry out Mental Health Act assessments

Collaborate with partner agencies including the Mental Health Trust, Police, and Ambulance Services

Maintain performance against national and local targets

Support AMHPs with supervision, training, and access to legal advice

Essential requirements of this Social Work Team Manager role:

Registration as a Social Worker and current AMHP qualification

Approved as an AMHP by a local authority within the last 5 years

Compliance with annual AMHP training requirements

Strong knowledge of the Mental Health Act , case law, and MOJ requirements

Understanding of the Care Act , Mental Capacity Act , and safeguarding frameworks
