Machine Operator
Reporting to the Production Manager, you will be responsible for product converting—from raw material receipt to final packaging. This position is ideal for someone hands-on, precise in technical execution, and eager to commit to quality production.
Key Responsibilities: As a true multi-skilled operator on the production line, your responsibilities include: Machine Operation: Setup, adjustment, and smooth operation of slitting machines (slitter-rewinders).
Heavy Material Handling: Loading and unloading parent rolls (jumbos) onto the machine using lifting equipment.
Quality Control: Monitoring web tension, alignment, and conformity of the slit rolls.
Packaging & Wrapping: Preparation of slit rolls, boxing, and accurate labeling.
Outbound Logistics: Final packaging, palletizing, and securing packages for shipment.
First-Level Maintenance: Regular cleaning of equipment and reporting any mechanical anomalies.
Scrap Management: Material yield optimization and disposal of production waste/trim.
Experience: Ideally a first experience in an industrial environment (printing, packaging, textiles, or plastics processing).
Technical Skills: Ability to read shop orders / work orders and use measuring tools.
Personal Qualities: Versatility: Comfortable moving between machine setup and physical handling.
Rigor: High precision in counting, measuring, and packaging.
Teamwork: Strong communication skills with team members.
