Principal Structural Engineer

Working location

Site-based role across Saudi Arabia, associated with a major gold mining project. This is a rotational position with an 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off cycle.

Contract type

Minimum one-year contract with possible extension.

Work schedule

Work rotation: 8 weeks on, 2 weeks off

Base working hours: 48 hours per week, 6 days per week (in accordance with Saudi Labour Law)

Key responsibilities

Oversee and lead structural engineering activities for a large-scale mining project

Ensure structural designs meet industry and client standards

Provide site-based engineering support, including supervision of works

Coordinate with multidisciplinary teams on technical project requirements

Adhere to all safety and site regulations

Report regularly on project progress and any technical challenges

Requirements

Total of 15 years professional engineering experience

Minimum 8 years' experience in a similar capacity, specifically for mining projects

Strong site engineering experience is essential

Previous experience working in Saudi Arabia is highly desirable

Ability to travel internationally as needed

Excellent communication and leadership skills
