Accountabilities: The Sr Director, Business Operations will own the operational strategy and execution framework that enables Professional Services teams to deliver consistent, scalable, and high-quality outcomes. This role requires strong leadership, financial expertise, and the ability to build processes that improve business visibility and operational maturity.

Lead, mentor, and develop a team of business analysts and operations professionals, establishing clear responsibilities, performance expectations, and growth opportunities.

Partner with senior leadership to align business operations priorities with strategic objectives and organizational goals.

Own financial planning, forecasting, budgeting, and performance reporting processes, including revenue forecasts, cost models, headcount planning, and investment analysis.

Develop executive-level dashboards and reports that provide actionable insights into financial performance, utilization, project margins, backlog, and operational health.

Monitor key business metrics, identify performance gaps, and collaborate with delivery leaders to implement corrective actions.

Manage global resource planning and capacity management frameworks to optimize workforce allocation, reduce inefficiencies, and support delivery commitments.

Maintain visibility into resource demand, utilization trends, regional capacity, and workforce planning needs to support strategic hiring decisions.

Serve as the business owner for professional services systems and operational tools, ensuring accurate data, effective workflows, and improved reporting capabilities.

Drive improvements in operational processes, system adoption, automation opportunities, and data quality across business functions.

Prepare and deliver executive and board-level reporting materials by transforming complex operational and financial information into clear business narratives.

Establish business rhythms including operational reviews, planning cycles, and leadership reporting cadences to support effective decision-making.

Collaborate with Finance, HR, IT, and customer operations teams to ensure alignment across reporting, planning, and execution activities.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate brings extensive experience leading business operations, financial planning, and professional services functions within technology-driven organizations. They combine analytical expertise, executive communication skills, and strong leadership capabilities to drive operational excellence.

12+ years of progressive experience in business operations, financial planning and analysis, or professional services operations within an enterprise software or technology environment.

5+ years of experience in senior leadership roles managing operational teams and strategic initiatives.

Proven experience owning financial planning, forecasting, and performance reporting for a revenue-generating business unit.

Strong understanding of professional services financial concepts, including revenue recognition, project margins, utilization, and backlog management.

Demonstrated experience designing and managing global resource planning and capacity management models.

Experience contributing to executive and board-level reporting with the ability to present complex data clearly and effectively.

Strong analytical skills with experience building financial models, operational dashboards, and data-driven recommendations.

Proven ability to lead, develop, and motivate teams while fostering accountability and continuous improvement.

Excellent communication, presentation, and stakeholder management skills with experience engaging senior executives.

Ability to collaborate effectively across Finance, HR, IT, operations, and business leadership teams.

Experience with professional services platforms, project management systems, or customer engagement tools is preferred.

Familiarity with revenue recognition standards such as ASC 606 is a plus.

Experience within aviation, aerospace, enterprise software, or technology industries is advantageous.

Interest or experience with AI-powered analytics and automation tools that improve operational visibility is beneficial.

MBA or advanced degree in Finance, Business, or a related field is preferred.
