Agile Business Analyst: Compliance

Accountabilities: The Agile Business Analyst: Compliance will be responsible for understanding regulatory needs, defining business requirements, and supporting the delivery of technology solutions that strengthen compliance operations. This role requires close collaboration between technical and non-technical teams to ensure solutions are accurate, scalable, and aligned with evolving regulatory expectations.

Gather, analyze, and document business and compliance requirements from stakeholders and regulatory sources.

Translate complex compliance requirements into clear user stories, acceptance criteria, and functional specifications.

Define and refine compliance screening processes, including sanctions checks, PEP screening, and adverse media monitoring.

Support integrations with external verification platforms and third-party systems.

Establish and maintain business rules related to transaction limits, compliance controls, and risk management processes.

Collaborate with developers, testers, and business teams to ensure solutions meet operational and regulatory requirements.

Participate in Agile ceremonies, including sprint planning, backlog refinement, and retrospectives.

Conduct impact assessments for regulatory changes and evolving compliance obligations.

Create and maintain process documentation, workflows, data mappings, and system specifications.

Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT) to validate that delivered solutions meet business expectations.

Identify opportunities to improve analysis, documentation, and productivity through AI-enabled tools.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate is an analytical and detail-oriented professional with experience bridging business requirements and technology delivery. You should be comfortable working in Agile environments and have an interest in compliance, financial services, and data-driven solutions.

Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Information Systems, Business, Technology, or a related discipline.

Previous experience working as a Business Analyst, ideally within fintech, financial services, compliance, or regulated environments.

Knowledge or exposure to AML/CFT, KYC/KYB processes, sanctions screening, or related compliance frameworks.

Experience working within Agile/Scrum teams and familiarity with Agile delivery practices.

Understanding of API integrations, third-party platforms, and technology-driven business processes.

Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex information and identify practical solutions.

Ability to translate regulatory and technical concepts into clear business language.

Strong stakeholder management and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical teams.

Experience using tools such as Jira, Confluence, Visio, Lucidchart, or similar platforms.

High attention to detail, curiosity, adaptability, and a continuous improvement mindset.

Ability to leverage AI tools to enhance analysis, documentation, and workflow efficiency is a plus.
