Mechanical Engineer

About This Role Amel International Services Limited—a manufacturer of baking lines and breakfast cereals—is recruiting a Mechanical Engineer for its Lagos production facility. This role maintains equipment reliability, conducts root-cause analysis on machine breakdowns, performs preventive servicing, and supports machine assembly and commissioning across food production lines. Key Responsibilities

Machine Assembly & Commissioning: Assist with installing, assembling, testing, and commissioning new production equipment. Preventive & Corrective Maintenance: Perform routine servicing, system inspections, and emergency repairs to prevent equipment failure and operational downtime. Root-Cause Failure Analysis: Investigate machine breakdowns, pinpoint root causes, and implement engineering modifications or remedies. Safety & Maintenance Logging: Execute rapid breakdown response while maintaining accurate repair records and adhering to plant safety standards.

Requirements & Qualifications

Core Competencies: Production machinery maintenance, root-cause failure analysis, preventive servicing schedules, and equipment troubleshooting. Key Attributes: High safety awareness, teamwork capabilities, stress tolerance in high-speed manufacturing settings, and analytical problem-solving.
