Quantity Surveyor - MEP

Description

We are seeking a highly motivated and commercially astute professional with 10+ years of experience managing the cost and commercial aspects of major construction projects, with a strong background in hospitality and mixed-use developments.

Responsibilities

Prepare accurate quantity take-offs, BOQs, and cost estimates.

Manage project budgets and monitor MEP costs throughout the project lifecycle.

Evaluate subcontractor quotations and manage procurement processes.

Administer contracts, variations, progress valuations, and final accounts.

Prepare regular commercial reports and cost forecasts.

Identify commercial risks and recommend cost-saving initiatives.

Support successful project delivery while maintaining quality, budget, and schedule objectives.

Requirements

Bachelor's in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering.

Minimum 10 years' experience as an MEP Quantity Surveyor.

Proven experience delivering hospitality (hotels/resorts) and mixed-use construction projects.

Strong expertise in MEP quantity take-offs, cost planning, budgeting, procurement, contract administration, variations, valuations, and final accounts.

Solid understanding of construction contracts and commercial management.

Ability to work collaboratively with project teams, consultants, clients, and subcontractors.

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and quantity surveying/estimating software (CostX, Bluebeam, PlanSwift, or equivalent).

Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.
