We are looking for candidates with extensive knowledge in creating and implementing M&T strategies in large-scale organisations. We believe that you have minimum 10 years of M&T experience and that you have strong leadership and managerial skills, leading senior people & business on global level.

The main purpose of the assignment is to lead and develop the Meeting & Travel organization at IKEA Group (INGKA). Together with the Meeting and Travel (M&T) team, you will lead our Centre of Expertise within the area by defining, designing and sharing the global framework and approach in line with market trends, latest developments and best practices. You will help us secure efficient implementation of global initiatives linked to M&T services and solutions; focusing on efficiency, quality, health, safety, security, sustainability and lower cost. Your key tasks and responsibilities will be to;

  • Lead the development and continuous improvement of the way we meet and travel at IKEA to secure a great co-worker experience
  • Create, update and implement the M&T strategy including global policies, standards, rules and guidelines.
  • Benchmark global best-in-class practices to seek avenues to enhance cost savings and efficiencies.
  • Secure and monitor that all markets are in line with the mandatory elements of M&T policies and compliant with local regulations.
  • Initiate internal organizational wide regular communication on the INGKA M&T program, aimed at timely providing co-workers and business leaders with updated information.
  • Explore and initiate implementation of digital tools and systems.
  • Decide on the most suitable Vendors.

You will also take an active part to create and manage data metrics to track supplier/vendor performance and cost effectiveness of travel and meeting programs. Furthermore, you will align and monitor performance with key stakeholders within People & Culture (HR) and other functions, such as Sustainability, Communication, Legal, Risk Management and Business Navigation & Finance.
