Finance/ Account Officer

Job Location: Utako and Kubwa

Role Description

The Finance Officer/Account Officer is a full-time, on-site role based in Utako and Kubwa respectively. This position is responsible for preparing, updating, and maintaining financial records, including ledgers, invoices, and financial statements, in accordance with company policies and regulatory requirements. The Finance/Account Officer will support budgeting and forecasting, process payments and receipts, reconcile bank and ledger accounts, and monitor cash flows to ensure accurate and timely reporting. The role involves assisting with month-end and year-end closing activities, supporting internal and external audits, and maintaining proper documentation for all financial transactions. The officer will also respond to internal and external queries, provide customer-focused financial support to stakeholders, and collaborate with other teams to improve financial processes and controls.

Qualifications

Strong finance and accounting knowledge, including practical experience preparing and reviewing financial statements. Demonstrated analytical skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify variances, and provide actionable insights. Effective communication and customer service skills for engaging internal teams, clients, and vendors professionally. Proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Office (especially Excel) and familiarity with relevant Nigerian financial regulations. Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field; professional certifications (e.g., ICAN, ACCA) are an added advantage. High level of integrity, attention to detail, strong organizational skills, and the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
