Guildhall is recruiting for a Quantity Surveyor to join a leading international engineering and construction contractor in the UAE. The role requires strong experience in cost estimation, subcontractor management, variations, valuations, and contractual procedures within the UAE construction market.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Review tender documents, specifications, drawings, and contractual requirements, identifying discrepancies, preparing technical clarifications, and supporting the preparation of competitive commercial bids.
  • Prepare detailed quantity take-offs, budget estimates, bills of quantities, material and manpower requirements, and cost plans for major construction projects.
  • Manage subcontractor procurement processes, including preparation of subcontract tender packages, technical and commercial evaluations, negotiations, and recommendation of awards.
  • Monitor project costs, prepare monthly valuations, assess variations, verify subcontractor payment certificates, and support effective cost control throughout project delivery.
  • Conduct site visits, assess project conditions, coordinate with project teams, and provide commercial support related to contracts, claims, variations, and project financial performance.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Civil Engineering or Quantity Surveying with a minimum of 10 years’ experience in estimating, quantity surveying, or contract administration for major civil, commercial, residential, high-rise, and industrial projects.
  • Proven experience working with reputable contracting companies in the UAE, with significant experience delivering high-rise building projects.
  • Strong knowledge of quantity surveying principles, methods of measurement, cost analysis, contract administration, claims, variations, and construction commercial practices.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, MS Project) and quantity surveying/estimating software, with strong analytical and reporting capabilities.
  • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to work effectively within multicultural project teams and both site-based and head office environments.
