Supply Technician

Major duties

• Furnishes technical advice to unit midsection chiefs.
• Assists in the training of new employees.
• Research of publication status affects the efficiency of the unit and control over inventory.
• Applies general knowledge of Pueblo Documents Distribution Center (PuDDC) Bar Coding System.
• Contacts with other units in the center is to facilitate and coordinate the expeditious flow of work.

Qualifications

To qualify for the Supply Technician, PG -2005-6, you must meet the following requirements: To qualify for the Supply Technician (Inventory), PG-2005-06, applicants must possess one year of specialized experience equivalent to the PG-05 level in the Federal Service or equivalent experience in the private sector that includes: (1) Assisting the supervisor in controlling and assigning the flow of work through the unit;(2) Reviewing work and performing research to maintain inventory control; and (3) Meeting customer and public relations satisfaction by responding quickly and thoroughly to publication requests. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.
