Salesforce Tech Lead

About this role

This role sits at the intersection of deep Salesforce platform expertise and broader systems thinking. You'll take ownership of the health and evolution of our Salesforce platform, set standards for how we build on it, and make sure our systems scale with the business.

What you'll do

Own platform health — Be the go-to expert for the state, performance and reliability of our Salesforce org.

Set standards — Define development standards, coding conventions and best practices for the Salesforce team.

Lead delivery operations — Coordinate releases, sprints and technical delivery across the platform.

Design integrations — Architect integrations between Salesforce and other business-critical systems.

Drive innovation — Explore and introduce new Salesforce capabilities, including AI features, that add real business value.

Review and elevate — Run code reviews and technical design reviews that raise the bar for the whole team.

Mentor and coach — Support the growth of other developers on the team.

Bridge business and engineering — Translate business needs into technical solutions, and technical constraints into business language.

What you bring

Hands-on Salesforce development experience, with expert-level Apex, Lightning Web Components (LWC) and Flow.

Strong data modelling skills and experience with common integration patterns.

Familiarity with DevOps and CI/CD practices for Salesforce.

Excellent communication skills — you can talk to both engineers and stakeholders.

Experience mentoring and coaching other developers.

Required certifications: Salesforce Platform Developer II and Salesforce Administrator.

Preferred certifications: Application Architect or System Architect, AI Associate or AI Specialist, and Integration Architecture Designer.

This role is not for you if

You prefer to only write code and avoid architecture or mentoring conversations.

You're not comfortable owning decisions that affect the wider business.
