Embedded Software Engineer
Lifecycle Engineering team is searching for an Embedded SW Eng to join their 20-person team working toward excellence in product lifecycle engineering of new and existing Bioprocess hardware products.
Essential Responsibilities: You will be responsible for implementation, troubleshooting, and testing of control systems using PLC programming and strategy development. This role is perfect for the ambitious, self-driven engineer with strong understanding of PLC programming and a hands-on approach to problem solving.
- PLC programming and controls system software development.
- Evaluating, troubleshooting and enhancing existing controls systems designs to secure product functionality and customer satisfaction.
- Engaging in all phases of design lifecycle, including concept, documentation, design, prototype, test, supplier interface, manufacturing and service support.
- Execution of design, development, and documentation of ECR/ECOs for existing Bioprocess hardware products
- Creation of technical reports, both written and verbal, to project/product owners.
- Design and documentation of test plans & outcomes
- Participation in technical reviews and collaborative technical forums
- Plan for and maintain required test equipment and laboratory resources
Qualifications/Requirements:
- BSc. in Electrical, Software or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience
- Some years engineering experience in a related field
- Demonstrated hands-on experience with PLC programming and functional HW testing
- Experience in developing, supporting and troubleshooting PLC programs and software
- Strong documentation and communication skills, both written and verbal
- Works well with teams and across global environments
- Strong interpersonal skills
- Established work authorization for employment in Sweden (EU work permit required)
- Competent in Swedish and English languages (written and verbal)
- Willing to travel internationally to support design, supplier, customer, service activities

- Higher education including Masters or PhD
- Demonstrated technical leadership capability
- Self-starter, results oriented with ability to multi-task
- Ability to meet aggressive reliability, performance, cost, and delivery targets
- Experience excelling in global and cross-site projects
- Knowledge of MD/EMC/LVD/UL/IEC (e.g. UL 508A, EN 60204-1) regulations/standards and how they apply to design
- Knowledge of WEEE/RoHS regulation requirements
- Working knowledge of development tools such as PDM, AutoCAD Electrical, etc.
