Senior Procurement Manager – Direct Materials / Packaging / China Suppliers

Role Summary:

We are seeking a senior procurement leader with strong experience in direct materials sourcing for raw materials, supplements, and packaging in a manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for driving sourcing strategy, supplier negotiation, cost optimization, and supply continuity, with exposure to overseas suppliers, especially China-based vendors. This is not a general purchasing role; we are looking for a candidate who can lead strategic sourcing and supplier strategy, not only day-to-day purchasing operations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Lead procurement and strategic sourcing for raw materials, supplements, and packaging.

• Develop and execute sourcing strategies to optimize cost, reduce supply risk, and improve supplier performance.

• Manage local and overseas suppliers, especially China-based vendors.

• Lead negotiations on pricing, payment terms, lead time, MOQ, and commercial terms.

• Partner closely with Production, QA/QC, R&D/NPD, Warehouse, and Management to ensure supply continuity.

• Evaluate and develop suppliers in terms of cost, quality, delivery, and service.

• Drive cost saving, supplier consolidation, dual sourcing, and procurement improvement initiatives.

• Manage and develop the procurement team in both operational execution and strategic sourcing capability.

Qualifications: Bachelor’s degree or higher in Business Administration, Supply Chain, Logistics, Engineering, or related fields. At least 8–10 years of experience in procurement / purchasing / strategic sourcing in a manufacturing environment. At least 3–5 years of management-level experience. Proven hands-on experience in sourcing raw materials, supplements, and/or packaging. Strong track record in cost reduction, supplier negotiation, supplier development, and sourcing strategy. Experience working with overseas suppliers, especially China-based vendors. Strong business English communication for supplier negotiation, meetings, and commercial correspondence. Able to work cross-functionally and lead procurement decisions that support factory operations and business goals. Chinese communication skill is a strong advantage. Candidates with TOEIC 785+ and/or HSK 5+ will be given special consideration. Experience in supplements, health products, cosmetics, FMCG, OEM/ODM, or related manufacturing industries. Candidates without language certificates may still be considered if they can demonstrate strong practical communication ability and direct supplier management experience.
