Roles & Responsibilities
- Cluster Management: Deploy, upgrade, and manage OpenShift 4.x clusters, including control planes, worker nodes, and day-2 operations.
- Platform Security: Configure Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), Security Context Constraints (SCCs), and network policies.
- System Administration: Handle Linux infrastructure, OS patching, storage provisioning (PV/PVC), and automated configurations via the Machine Config Operator (MCO).
- Troubleshooting: Monitor cluster health, inspect pod logs, and resolve runtime errors like image pull or out-of-memory failures.
Key Skills Needed
- Linux & Kubernetes: Deep knowledge of Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) system administration and core Kubernetes concepts.
- Networking & Storage: Understanding of OpenShift routes, ingress controllers, storage classes, and container security registries like Quay.
- 6+ years of experience working in a OpenShift administration role
- Bachelor's degree or its equivalent qualification
- Advanced knowledge of Red Hat OpenShift platform will be an advantage
- In-depth expertise in managing multiple Kubernetes clusters across multi-cloud environments.
- Proven expertise in operationalization of Red Hat OpenShift container platform through the adoption of Service Mesh, GitOps principles, and Serverless frameworks, migration to OpenShift container platform
- Experience with infrastructure as code, automation tools, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience implementing system infrastructure and cloud solutions, including data storage, networking, monitoring, and security
