Job Purpose:

The IT Infrastructure Solution Architect is responsible for designing, validating, and governing end-to-end infrastructure solutions that support IT transformation initiatives, modernization programs, technology refresh projects, and strategic infrastructure upgrades. The role ensures that all infrastructure solutions are technically sound, secure, scalable, resilient, and aligned with enterprise architecture, business objectives, and industry best practices. The Solution Architect acts as the technical lead throughout the project lifecycle, collaborating with infrastructure, security, application, network, cloud, vendor, and project management teams.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design end-to-end infrastructure solutions for transformation and modernization initiatives.
  • Develop High-Level Design (HLD) and Low-Level Design (LLD) documents.
  • Define architecture, technical specifications, dependencies, and implementation approach.
  • Assess current infrastructure and recommend improvements.
  • Lead modernization initiatives including server, storage, virtualization, network, cloud, backup, DR, OS upgrades, and data center optimization.
  • Provide technical leadership throughout project execution.
  • Review implementation plans, migration strategies, and deployment readiness.
  • Review vendor proposals, SOWs, RFPs/RFQs, BoMs, and technical sizing.
  • Produce HLDs, LLDs, migration plans, network diagrams, risk assessments, implementation plans, and as-built documentation.
  • Ensure compliance with security, availability, resilience, disaster recovery, and enterprise architecture standards.
  • Identify technical risks and define mitigation plans.
  • Collaborate with infrastructure, cloud, security, operations, PMO, enterprise architecture, and vendors.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Information Technology, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–4 years of experience in IT Infrastructure, Infrastructure Engineering, or Infrastructure Solution Architecture.
  • Experience delivering enterprise infrastructure projects including implementation, migration, upgrades, and modernization.
