About the role

We are seeking experienced, compassionate, and adaptable Labor & Delivery Registered Nurses to join a respected health system in Alaska, on a three‑year contract.

As an Labour &Delivery Nurse, you will play a vital role in delivering safe, high‑quality obstetric care while collaborating with interdisciplinary teams. The facility is known for excellent nurse‑to‑patient ratios, strong clinical standards, and a commitment to continuous improvement.

Key responsibilities

Provide high‑acuity care throughout labor, delivery, and immediate postpartum recovery

Administer medications including oxytocin, epidural support, and pain management therapies

Monitor maternal and fetal vital signs and manage IV infusions and obstetric interventions

Collaborate with obstetricians, midwives, anesthesiologists, and multidisciplinary teams

Document labor progression, interventions, and outcomes accurately and promptly

Respond rapidly to obstetric emergencies, including neonatal resuscitation and hemorrhage control

Educate patients and families on labor expectations, newborn care, breastfeeding, and postpartum recovery

Requirements

Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN)

NCLEX‑RN passed (or actively preparing)

English proficiency (certification or native fluency)

Minimum 24 months of recent acute care experience

Willingness to relocate to Alaska for at least three years

Competitive pay: $45–$65 USD per hour (based on experience and specialty)
