Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead supplier technical qualification and onboarding activities for New Product Introduction (NPI) programs.
  • Coordinate and drive First Article Inspection (FAI) activities, ensuring successful completion prior to production release.
  • Lead new supplier onboarding from qualification through production release, ensuring technical readiness, process capability and a smooth handover to sustaining teams.
  • Lead supplier localization projects by transferring parts and processes from US and European suppliers to Asia-based suppliers, ensuring successful qualification and production readiness.
  • Conduct supplier production readiness assessments to ensure successful product launches and production ramp-up.
  • Provide manufacturing engineering support to suppliers by ensuring manufacturing processes meet engineering requirements, driving process improvements and validating process capability for new product introductions.
  • Drive supplier capability and quality improvements during onboarding and qualification through supplier assessments, continuous improvement initiatives and Lean/ Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Identify and mitigate supplier process and capability risks, working closely with cross-functional teams to ensure successful project execution and performance targets are met.

Requirements

  • Diploma or Degree in Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 5-8 years of relevant experience in Supply Chain, Operations or Manufacturing Engineering. Experience in industrial equipment, CNC machining equipment, automotive, semiconductor or medical manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Experience supporting NPI programs, supplier qualification, process validation, and production ramp-up activities.
  • Proven track record in supplier development, localization, and continuous improvement projects.
  • Lean Manufacturing and/or Six Sigma experience (Green Belt preferred).
  • Knowledge of APQP, PFMEA, Control Plans, SPC, MSA, and Kaizen facilitation.
  • Experience with machining, plating and/ or assembly processes, and the ability to read technical drawings and documentation (GD&T).
  • Strong project management, problem-solving, and stakeholder management skills. Formal project management certification (e.g. PMP, PRINCE2) is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to influence stakeholders across functions and cultures.
  • Willingness to travel regularly to supplier sites within Asia.
