R&D Technician (Assistant Engineer) [1-Year Contract]

We are looking for a motivated and hands-on R&D Assistant Engineer to support our research and development team in creating innovative solutions and turning concepts into functional products. What you'll do: Assist in the assembly of prototypes, devices, and machines using technical schematics or instructions.

Provide support to engineers through simple tasks such as soldering work and other hands-on technical work.

Conduct simple performance tests or troubleshooting to ensure that the equipment's are functional.

Perform basic inspections of spare parts/equipment's to ensure the desired standards are met.

Ensure that the lab equipment's or tools are properly handled and well maintained by assisting in the cleaning and organizing process.

Assist in the documentation of R&D project-related activities, including test results, procedures, and technical findings

Assist in the procurement of materials, components, and equipment required for R&D projects while ensuring cost efficiency

Any ad-hoc activities as assigned by supervisor.

What we're looking for: Minimum qualification of Nitec in Mechanical/Electrical engineering or any related fields discipline.

An individual who possesses strong problem-solving skills and a willingness to learn mindset.

Proficient command of English.

Basic technical background with previous hands-on experience in soldering, assembling, or similar tasks.

Ability to work confidently both independently and as part of a team.

Ability to communicate in basic Mandarin Chinese will be an added advantage in order to liaise with associates.
