About Commonwealth Fusion Systems:

Commonwealth Fusion Systems is on a mission to deliver the urgent transition to fusion energy.

Combining decades of research, top talent, and new technologies, we’re designing and building commercially viable fusion power plants. And we're working with policymakers and suppliers to build the energy industry of the future.

We’re in the best position to make it happen. Since 2018, we’ve raised nearly $3 billion in capital, making us the largest and leading private fusion company in the world.

Now we’re looking for more thinkers, doers, builders, and makers to join us. People who’ll bring new perspectives, solve tough problems, and thrive as part of a team.

If that’s you and this role fits, we want to hear from you.

Serve as primary administrator and subject matter expert for Genetec Security Center (Omnicast VMS and Synergis ACS modules)

Configure, maintain, and optimize access control hardware including door controllers, card readers, panels, and credentials

Configure and maintain IP camera systems; manage video storage, retention policies, and camera health monitoring

Execute access control changes: cardholder management, access level assignments, schedule configurations, and area definitions

Perform software updates, patches, and firmware upgrades for the Genetec platform and associated hardware

System Documentation and Auditing

Develop and maintain system documentation including network diagrams, hardware inventories, configuration records, and change logs

Conduct regular system audits to verify access control integrity, camera coverage, and alarm point accuracy

Troubleshoot system faults, alarms, and hardware failures; coordinate with Genetec support and vendors for advanced resolution

Project Management and Installation

Lead and project manage security technology installations and system expansions, including new facilities and upgrades

Coordinate with third-party integrators and service vendors on installation projects, maintenance contracts, and service calls

Develop project scopes, timelines, and commissioning documentation for all system deployments

Manage and maintain the broader physical security technology stack including intrusion detection, intercoms, and visitor management systems

Support specification and procurement of new physical security hardware in partnership with the Sr. Manager, Physical Security

Monitor system health dashboards and respond to technology-related security alerts

Participate in on-call rotation for critical system outages or security technology failures

What we're looking for: High school diploma or equivalent required

Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Security Management, Computer Science, or a related field preferred

5+ years of hands-on experience with physical security systems in a corporate or industrial environment

Genetec Security Center experience required — Genetec Certified Technician (GCT) or Genetec Certified Professional (GCP) required, or must obtain within 6 months of hire

Experience with IP camera systems, access control hardware (HID, Allegion, or equivalent), and physical security networking fundamentals

Proven ability to manage technology projects from planning through commissioning and documentation

Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex system issues independently with minimal supervision

Proficiency in Genetec Security Center administration and Config tool — deep working knowledge of Synergis ACS and Omnicast VMS modules

Strong hardware troubleshooting skills; ability to diagnose and resolve IP camera, controller, and card reader failures

Ability to read and interpret network diagrams, wiring schematics, and hardware documentation

Strong attention to detail and commitment to accurate system documentation and record-keeping

Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects and prioritize independently

Bonus points for: Experience in a high-security, research, life sciences, or industrial facility environment

Familiarity with PSIM platforms or integrated security management systems

Experience with visitor management systems (Envoy, Proxyclick, Feenics, or similar)

Experience managing third-party security integrators and coordinating vendor relationships

Exposure to physical security design including camera coverage planning and access control zone mapping

Basic networking knowledge: VLANs, PoE switches, TCP/IP, DNS as applied to physical security systems
