Co-VP Events

CMP Co-VP Events are responsible for planning and executing CMP Home Base's signature events and recurring social programming throughout the year. Note: You do not need to co-apply with another applicant.

Time Commitment 4 - 6 hours/week

Term of Employment July 2026 - April 2027

Main Responsibilities Plan and execute CMP's two anchor transition events: the Welcome Week Kickoff (September) and the Mid-Year Reset (January)

Organize recurring drop-in coffee chats and casual monthly mixers throughout the academic year

Coordinate logistics including venue booking, guest outreach, and event flow

Work closely with Co-VPs Marketing to promote events and drive attendance

Gather post-event feedback and iterate on programming based on what first-years respond to

Foster a low-pressure, welcoming atmosphere at all CMP touchpoints

Qualifications Strong organizational and operational skills

Creative, people-oriented, and energized by building community

Able to make decisions independently and adapt under pressure

Excellent communication skills and strong time management

Experience with event planning or community-building is an asset
