Journeyman Electrician

Job Overview We're looking for a skilled Journeyman Electrician to take on a hands-on leadership role in the field. This position is based in Hickory, NC , working on water and wastewater infrastructure projects . You'll lead crews and work alongside them performing electrical installations, maintenance, and repairs. This is a working field role that requires experience, reliability, and the ability to lead by example. The position includes local travel with occasional overnight stay. Responsibilities Perform and supervise electrical work on motors, pumps, panels, and control systems Lead field crews, ensuring safety, quality, and project deadlines are met Interpret wiring diagrams, blueprints, and technical documents Coordinate with project managers and other trades Material takeoff and procurement VFD/control panel troubleshooting Pump and motor start ups Qualifications 4+ years of hands-on electrical experience (industrial or utility preferred) Previous experience leading field crews Familiarity with motor controls, VFDs, and control panels is a plus Strong work ethic and problem-solving skills Valid driver's license and clean driving record Electrical license not required , but field experience is essential Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail Strong communication skills to collaborate effectively with team members Apply Today Take the lead - while staying hands-on.
