Responsibilities:

Programming & Java Development:

  • Deliver practical training on programming concepts, principles, and problem-solving techniques.
  • Teach Java programming from foundational to advanced concepts.
  • Guide students in developing functional applications using Java.
  • Teach Object-Oriented Programming (OOP), including classes, objects, inheritance, encapsulation, abstraction, and polymorphism.
  • Support students in debugging, testing, and improving their programs.
  • Develop practical exercises, coding assignments, projects, and assessments.

Web Application Development:

  • Train students in the development and maintenance of responsive web applications.
  • Teach and demonstrate practical use of HTML, CSS, and JavaScript.
  • Provide training on React and modern frontend development practices.
  • Guide students in designing responsive and user-friendly web interfaces.
  • Introduce students to fundamental UI/UX principles and their application in web development.
  • Supervise practical web development projects from concept to deployment.

Software Engineering:

  • Teach fundamental software engineering concepts and industry practices.
  • Provide practical understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC), including requirements gathering, design, development, testing, deployment, and maintenance.
  • Teach software architecture fundamentals, object-oriented design, debugging, testing, version control, and technical documentation.
  • Guide students in writing clean, maintainable, reusable, and properly documented code.
  • Introduce learners to collaborative software development practices and project workflows.

Training & Student Development:

  • Prepare lesson plans, course materials, practical exercises, assignments, and assessments.
  • Deliver engaging, practical, and project-based training sessions.
  • Monitor students' learning progress and provide appropriate technical support and feedback.
  • Mentor students through individual and group software development projects.
  • Evaluate students based on practical assignments, examinations, projects, and demonstrated technical competence.
  • Keep training materials and course content aligned with current software development practices and relevant technologies.

Requirements:

  • HND or equivalent qualification in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, Computer Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Strong understanding of programming concepts and software development principles.
  • Strong practical knowledge and experience in Java programming is essential.
  • Good practical knowledge of HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and React.
  • Good understanding of responsive web development and basic UI/UX principles.
  • Sound knowledge of Object-Oriented Programming (OOP).
  • Good understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC).
  • Practical knowledge of software debugging, testing, documentation, and application maintenance.
  • Ability to develop functional software applications and demonstrate programming concepts practically.
  • Ability to explain technical concepts clearly to learners with different levels of technical knowledge.
  • Previous practical software development experience is highly desirable.
  • Previous teaching, facilitation, or technical training experience in programming/software engineering will be an added advantage.
