Butler Rose is recruiting for an Accounts Assistant to join a busy and friendly finance team based in Macclesfield.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys a varied finance role, has excellent attention to detail and is confident managing day-to-day accounting responsibilities.

The Role

As an Accounts Assistant, your responsibilities will include:

• Processing purchase and sales ledger invoices
• Bank and supplier statement reconciliations
• Assisting with month-end processes
• Managing payment runs and supplier queries
• Supporting credit control and cash allocation
• Maintaining accurate financial records
• Assisting with VAT returns and financial reporting
• Providing general support to the wider finance team

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in an Accounts Assistant or similar finance role
• Strong knowledge of purchase and sales ledger
• Confident using Excel and accounting systems
• Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• AAT qualification or working towards one would be advantageous
