Transport Supervisor

We're looking for a hands-on Supervisor to lead a team within a busy operational environment in Wythenshawe. This role would suit an experienced Team Leader, Supervisor, or aspiring Manager who enjoys developing people, driving performance, and taking ownership of day-to-day operations. You'll be responsible for ensuring the team delivers against operational targets while maintaining high standards of service, productivity, and engagement.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead, motivate, and develop a team of 8 employees.
• Manage daily operational activities and ensure targets are achieved.
• Conduct regular team briefings, one-to-ones, and performance reviews.
• Monitor productivity and implement improvements where required.
• Support employee training and development initiatives.
• Manage attendance, performance, and employee relations matters.
• Ensure all processes are followed and health & safety standards are maintained.
• Act as the first point of escalation for operational issues and challenges.
• Drive a positive team culture focused on accountability and continuous improvement.

What We're Looking For

Leadership & Development

• Previous experience leading, coaching, and developing teams.
• Ability to motivate individuals and improve team performance.
• Experience conducting one-to-ones, training, and performance reviews.
• A cooperative leadership style with excellent communication skills.
