Operations Coordinator

(Permanent) Location: Cheadle Hulme, Stockport SK8 Salary: Up to £29,000 + BONUS

This permanent role is ideal if you enjoy being the key link between customers, drivers, and the Operations Team-helping day-to-day transport run smoothly and professionally.

What you'll be doing:

• Answering and placing calls with customers, drivers, and internal colleagues
• Updating and monitoring transport jobs and service information using internal computer systems
• Coordinating collections, deliveries, route updates, and overall job progress with drivers
• Delivering clear, timely delivery updates and communicating any operational changes
• Managing customer expectations when timings or requirements shift
• Supporting the team with day-to-day operational challenges, including troubleshooting and escalation where needed
• Keeping accurate records and notes in company systems
• Providing general administration and operational support

What you'll bring:

• A friendly, professional telephone manner and strong communication/listening skills
• The ability to negotiate practical solutions while staying calm and respectful
• Strong organisation and attention to detail, even in a fast-moving environment
• Comfort with learning and using computer systems quickly
• A positive, flexible, team-focused attitude (previous transport/logistics or customer service experience is a plus)

Additional information:

• Working hours: 08:30-17:00, Monday to Friday (30-minute lunch break)
• Start: Immediate start available
