DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Product Packaging

• Package bakery products according to approved procedures and production requirements.
• Ensure products are correctly weighed, sealed, labeled, and arranged for distribution.
• Check packaged products for quality, appearance, and compliance with packaging standards.
• Maintain accuracy in product quantities and packaging specifications.

Quality Control Support

• Inspect finished products before and during packaging to identify defects or quality issues.
• Ensure only approved products are packed for dispatch.
• Report damaged, defective, or non-conforming products to the supervisor.
• Support product traceability by ensuring correct labeling and batch identification.

Food Safety & Hygiene Compliance

• Maintain high standards of personal hygiene and cleanliness within the packaging area.
• Follow Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), food safety procedures, and company hygiene policies.
• Ensure packaging materials are handled and stored properly.
• Keep workstations, equipment, and surrounding areas clean and organized.

Production Support

• Work efficiently to meet daily packaging and production targets.
• Assist production teams during peak periods and high-volume operations.
• Support loading, sorting, and preparation of finished products for dispatch.
• Follow production schedules and instructions from supervisors.

Equipment & Workplace Safety

• Operate packaging tools and equipment safely.
• Report equipment faults, safety hazards, or operational challenges immediately.
• Follow workplace safety procedures and use protective equipment as required.
• Maintain a safe and organized working environment.

Inventory & Materials Handling

• Handle packaging materials such as bags, cartons, labels, and other supplies carefully.
• Monitor packaging material usage and report shortages to supervisors.
• Minimize wastage of products and packaging materials.
• Support proper storage and organization of packaging supplies.

KEY REQUIREMENT SKILLS AND QUALIFICATION

• Minimum of 2 years' relevant experience in a food manufacturing, bakery, FMCG, or production environment.
• Experience in product packaging, food handling, or manufacturing operations is preferred.
• Basic knowledge of food safety and hygiene practices.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced production environment.
• Good attention to detail and accuracy.
• Ability to follow instructions and production procedures.
