Responsibilities:

Assist in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, and tender documents. Carry out quantity take-offs from construction drawings and specifications. Support the monitoring of project costs and preparation of cost reports. Assist in evaluating supplier and subcontractor quotations. Prepare interim valuations, payment applications, and final account documentation. Maintain accurate records of project costs, variations, and material usage. Conduct site visits to measure completed work and verify quantities. Liaise with project managers, engineers, contractors, and suppliers to ensure cost efficiency. Assist in reviewing contracts and ensuring compliance with project requirements. Perform other quantity surveying duties as assigned.

Requirements:

A minimum of a Bachelor's Degree or HND in Quantity Surveying or a related discipline. A minimum of 1–3 years of relevant experience in quantity surveying within the civil construction industry. Good understanding of quantity take-offs, cost estimation, and construction contracts. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and quantity surveying software (e.g., CostX, PlanSwift, AutoCAD, or similar). Strong numerical, analytical, and problem-solving skills. Good communication and interpersonal skills. Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced construction environment. Membership or progress toward membership with the Nigerian Institute of Quantity Surveyors (NIQS) is an added advantage
