Technical Engineer

Location: Wijk bij Duurstede, The Netherlands In short As a Technical Engineer at AEGIR-Marine, you translate complex customer requirements into high-precision technical solutions. You are responsible for adapting our standard product line into customized designs, supporting retrofit engineering projects, and ensuring every deliverable meets our rigorous quality and safety standards. Working closely with internal teams like Sales, R&D, and Production, you play a vital role in resolving technical challenges and advancing our product innovation. Your Responsibilities You take full technical ownership of customized modifications, product development, and engineering documentation: Customized Design & CAD Work: Adapt standard products into tailored customer solutions and produce accurate technical drawings using CAD software.

New Product Development & R&D: Assist in designing new products to ensure optimal performance and reliability, actively contributing to R&D and reverse engineering projects.

Retrofit & Engineering Support: Provide technical expertise and hands-on support for complex engineering and retrofit projects.

Sales Support & Feasibility: Assess technical feasibility for incoming requests from the Sales team to ensure realistic and high-quality deliverables.

Quality & Special Production Oversight: Oversee product quality and manage production processes for non-standard items, including class certification alignment.

Documentation & Data Management: Prepare manuals and technical documentation for product modifications while maintaining and updating our central technical drawing database.

About You Educational Background: MBO+ or HBO degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related technical discipline (Bachelor-level working and thinking mindset).

Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in CAD software and technical drawing conventions.

Project Experience: Demonstrated experience with technical project activities and managing customized engineering deliverables.

Language Skills: Good command of English, both written and spoken (English is our primary operational language).

Mindset: Solution-oriented, precise, and proactive, with strong communication skills to align with internal teams and external stakeholders.
