Key responsibilities

Workforce & resource allocation: Assign, schedule, and allocate technical personnel (developers, BAs, QAs, tech leads) across active projects based on skills, availability, and project priorities.

Capacity planning & forecasting: Analyze pipeline demands in collaboration with project managers and BD teams to predict future resource needs and mitigate potential staffing bottlenecks.

Bench & utilization management: Continuously monitor individual and team utilization rates, minimizing bench time and strategically assigning non-billable staff to upskilling or internal initiatives.

Cross-functional collaboration: Partner closely with talent acquisition to communicate immediate hiring needs, and with HR to handle onboarding, transfers, and offboarding seamlessly.

Conflict & dependency resolution: Proactively resolve staffing conflicts, overlapping project timelines, and skill gaps across competing project teams.

Reporting & analytics: Maintain and present accurate real-time dashboards on resource availability, project roll-offs, skill inventories, and team utilization metrics to executive management.

Skills inventory & upskilling alignment: Track employee skill sets, certifications, and career aspirations to align project assignments with personal growth and internal mobility.

Requirements

Education

Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Human Resources, Information Technology, or a related field.

Experience

4–6 years of experience in resource management, workforce planning, or operations management within an IT consulting, software house, or digital transformation agency.

Skills & competencies (technical & analytical + soft)

Resource optimization: In-depth knowledge of resource management principles, utilization tracking, and capacity modeling.

Tech ecosystem awareness: Solid understanding of software development roles, tech stacks (.NET, OutSystems, Creatio, Front-End), and Agile delivery workflows.

Tooling proficiency: Hands-on experience with resource management tools, ERPs, Jira, Confluence, MS Excel (advanced), or dedicated PPM software (e.g., Float, Kantata, Smartsheet).

Negotiation & decision making: Strong diplomatic and conflict-resolution skills to manage competing resource requests from different project managers.

Analytical thinking: Excellent data-driven mindset, with the ability to interpret utilization trends and forecast staffing gaps accurately.

Communication: Exceptional interpersonal and communication skills to deal effectively with cross-functional stakeholders at all corporate levels.
